Date:  October 1, 2020

The bass bite has just started in the last couple of days.  Read below for some info on what we are hearing.

Location:

The bass are feeding out in deeper water.  Don't be scared to get around 30ft. of water.  Look for white bass and yellow bass.

Baits:

When it comes to baits, a Steel Shad blade bait has been deadly.  Try to fish the outer edges of the schools.

Cut shrimp, nightcrawlers.

Crappie

Date:  October 1, 2020

Crappie fishing is starting to pick up.  With the crappie moving out to deeper locations, the hunt has been a little easier.

Location:

TVA continues to keep the water levels at winter pool.  They have been hovering around the 355.0 for the past few days.  The crappie have moved into deeper structure.  Live minnows have been the best producers lately.  Jonathan Creek has produced many 15-20 limits lately.

  Baits:

The baits of choice have been live minnows.   However, the Jenko Slasher Jig with a Mermaid Color tube in Dirty Milk has been good too.

When:

The best bite has been in the early morning or late evening during feeding times.  Expect a lull in the midday.
